Storify , an incredible tool to tell stories through fragments on social networks, the end is a public beta. After spending months in use by invitation only, has now opened its doors to everyone can use the service. What is? It's simple: it helps to describe an event by collecting information on various sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, among many others. ALT1040 here and we used to revive the earthquake in Japan or the discussion of the documentary Presumed Guilty. Storify is extremely interesting as it could be very useful for organizing the constant bombardment of information, making it consistent, orderly, and giving a narrative thread that allows us, through this anthology, to explain an event. According to The New York Times , during private phase, the service was successfully used by journalists from The Washington Post, PBS, among other media. The company, founded by Xavier Damman and Burt Herman, is based in San Francisco. According to Herman, the idea is that journalists can not be on the scene to serve as a filter to contextualize the information flow. As there is a large amount of data broadcast on the network every second, what is needed is a criterion for sorting. Thus, anyone with access to Storify have the opportunity to tell their own version using the arrangement of their sources. For example, Al Jazeera has created a program called The Stream (Transmission), which are collected opinions on social networks by Storify. In an upcoming episode airing, have collected videos from YouTube, tweets and blog posts about the fear that prevails against Islam in the United States. Farmers praise this new tool, saying that almost made her script with her. Like many start-ups that draw attention, the issue is funding. Although recently received a cash injection of two million dollars, is still the question of how to monetize Storify. So far, no plans to offer it as a paid service, but in the future, their creators could consider selling advertising or sponsorship to make it profitable brands. And you, what do you expect to get your own? Be encouraged to try and tell us your impressions in comments on this tool.
