For decades, establishing a human base on the Moon is one of the most ambitious objectives of NASA. For the administration of George W. Bush, the construction of a lunar station was a priority for the agency. But Obama's management determined that NASA did not have the necessary resources nor a feasible timetable to work that claim. For that reason, decided to close the case and better focus on the development of long journeys.

However, not everyone was in agreement with this new provision, which lawmakers have lashed out with a bill to revive the desire for lunar base . The promoters of this proposal have highlighted the virtues of having this facility, especially in economic and military aspects. Since Ronald Reagan in 1983 promoting the popular program Star Wars -known as the Strategic Defense Initiative, the United States has provided the space as its last line of defense in fighting.

The plan is to get NASA to establish lunar base by 2022, with which to guarantee the beginning of human presence on the Moon. Lawmakers want the U.S. lunar colonization win towards developing scientific research, commerce and exploration. Also, get the station would also serve as a springboard for in the future, thinking about the arrival of humans to Mars (though, once clarified, the pass to the Red Planet is only one way )

Of course, it remains that this initiative will get rid of various obstacles to materialize. However, it shows the interest that the U.S. retains the outer exploration, where the Moon is one of their strategic locations. We are still far from establishing a base-and not a colony is said, "but the area continues as an intriguing target for the future of humanity. Who knows, maybe in a few decades, the man does not put a foot, but a house on our lunar satellite.
