I do not know if you noticed, but the web interface of Twitter include a few more hours for text ads. Besides the "Promoted Trend" in the column Trending Topics (1), and the "Promoted User" section of users suggested (2), in the picture below you can see, if you have not already your own account, a new guest (3):
This seems in my mind, from Mexico. On the one hand a suggestion "promoted" to Twitter, someone to follow in addition to those usually occur-probably algorithmically based on my tweets, followers and users who follow, "and on the other, below, a link the official Twitter app from the AppStore, not much to do with me, but hey, there appears. Of course the experience of other users may be different, with other accounts suggested and various links. Some reported seeing ads in the NFL from the U.S.. States, other links to posts related to Twitter. (Case curious link HTML code does not carry the nofollow attribute, the one who invented Google, then Yahoo and Bing continued, almost as a standard for search engines to give you free money no spam. As the ad only appears once the user has logged into the account, in principle represents a major problem.) Certainly I must point out something that, as a user of Twitter, I love these ads: they are invasive and annoying, and if I may say so, to some extent invisible. For example, once users Cool tips to follow, the ad disappears. To this let us add that is text, much like the Google Ads, but insist that less intrusive visually. Twitter is good for experimenting with new ads follow and at the same time think about the convenience of users. I just hope that soon, very soon learn how to monetize Twitter how significant it is today for millions of us. So we talked about this, because it is relevant to the future of the network.
