A few days ago opened its YouTube video-rental service , whereby anyone could be done for $ 3.99 for a video, yes, for the moment only available for United States. Well, after a deal with Warner, Universal and Sony to expand the supply of films other producers and distributors are less in favor of this service. Fox, Disney and Paramount are not welcome this new service and have shown intention not to license it .

While Disney remains silent on why this decision both Fox and Paramount have been very clear. The reasons why they have taken this decision is because they said YouTube does not take appropriate measures to combat piracy and these executives say their fight has to be greater against pirate sites currently link in your searches.

In the background of all this may have more reasons than these. Do not forget that Paramount owned by Viacom, who sued YouTube for massive violation of copyright, a demand which was won by the popular video website . It should also be aware that many of these producers, both which have reached agreements with YouTube as not, are working together on UltraViolet, the video platform that sends bass was introduced earlier this year and probably some participants of this platform, they should see with good eyes to the resources in the near future may be its main rival.

In any case, if the latter is one of the reasons why they do not want to license their content for the video portal of Google is a reason a bit banal and which in one way or another is to limit access to a large audience its contents.
